The LE-80 features an imbalance-tolerant drive and a thermoelectric refrigeration system that eliminates the need for chloroflurocarbons and other ozone-depleting refrigerants. The flexibility of the LE-80 gives this ultracentrifuge greater compatibility with common rotor, including fixed-angle and swinging bucket style rotors.
